Why Badlands Gold is Special

In most biomes, gold ore only generates between Y=-64 and Y=32. In the Badlands, gold generates from Y=-64 all the way up to Y=256, and at double the normal rate.

Surface scanning: Walk along canyon walls and look for exposed gold ore
Branch mining at Y=32: Highest concentration of gold ore veins
Ravine exploration: Natural canyons expose multiple ore layers
