Minecraft Java 26.2 — the Chaos Cubed update, released June 16, 2026 — adds sulfur cube mobs, the new underground Sulfur Caves biome, erupting geysers, and cinnabar blocks. Surface world generation is unchanged from 26.1, which means seeds remain fully compatible — but instead of recycling old lists, we hunted fresh ones and verified them harder than anything we've published before.

🏆 All-Rounder Seeds
These are the seeds we'd recommend to anyone starting a fresh 26.2 world: villages, an ancient city, trial chambers, and a scenic biome — all inside your first exploration radius.
1. Ancient City Under a Cherry Spawn All-Rounder
🌸 Cherry grove starts at 8, 136, frozen peaks at −24, −24
🏘️ Two villages: 16, −208 and −304, 128
⚔️ Trial chambers at −240, 304, ruined portal at 16, 368
This is the strongest single seed we found while scanning thousands of candidates for this update. You spawn between a cherry grove and snow-capped peaks, with two villages in easy reach for food and beds. The headline act is underneath you: an ancient city sits below the spawn area, so a single staircase mine drops you straight into deep dark loot. With trial chambers just 380 blocks out, every major endgame structure of the current update cycle is within one map screen.
Why it's great: It removes every excuse to not try 26.2's full content loop — villages for setup, trial chambers for combat, ancient city for enchanted gear, all before your first nightfall base is finished.
2. Twin Villages Between Three Peaks All-Rounder
🌸 Cherry grove at −56, 88
🏘️ Villages at −288, 224 and 320, 336
🌑 Ancient city at 144, 176, trial chambers at −320, −240
A dramatic spawn: cherry trees at your feet and two different mountain peak biomes on the horizon. The villages sit on opposite sides of the peaks, making natural waypoints for your first expeditions. Like seed #1, an ancient city hides close to spawn — this one under the jagged peaks, which makes for a spectacular mountain-hall base if you clear it.
🌸 Cherry Grove Seeds
Cherry groves are still the most requested "beautiful" biome. Both seeds below put the pink forest within sight of spawn and pair it with strong survival infrastructure.
3. Trial Chambers at Spawn, Cherry Next Door Beautiful
🌸 Cherry grove at −88, 8
🏘️ Villages at −176, −160 and 32, −256
🌑 Ancient city at −304, 16, trail ruins at 640, −320
The trial chambers spawn directly beneath the spawn chunks — you can breach them within your first ten minutes for early breeze rods and trial keys. Above ground it's a postcard: a cherry grove to the west and two villages to the north. An ancient city 300 blocks west completes the underground portfolio.
4. Cherry Village Trade Route Beautiful
🏘️ Villages at −144, −176 and −208, 176 — a natural trade route
🌑 Ancient city at 176, 160 with a ruined portal right above it at 192, 144
⚔️ Trial chambers at 224, 224
Two villages sit barely 350 blocks apart with the cherry grove between them — connect them with a cherry-lined path and you have the prettiest trading post in 26.2. East of spawn, a ruined portal sits almost on top of the ancient city, an unusual combo that gives you a nether-ready staging camp right above the deep dark.
👻 Pale Garden Seeds
The pale garden — home of the creaking — is normally a long hike from spawn. These two seeds put the gray forest right on your doorstep. (New to the biome? Read our complete Creaking guide first.)
5. Spawn Inside the Pale Garden Rare Spawn
🏔️ Frozen peaks at 104, −56
🌑 Ancient city at 80, −176
🏘️ Village at 320, 96, trial chambers at 240, 192
Spawning inside the pale garden is genuinely rare — most players never see the biome without a long expedition. Survive your first night among the creakings (or sprint to the village 320 blocks east), then come back for resin. The ancient city under the nearby peaks makes this one of the spookiest complete-package seeds we've verified.
6. Pale Garden Next to a Sheltered Valley Rare Spawn
⚔️ Trial chambers at 144, 0
🌑 Ancient city at −272, 112
🏘️ Village at 0, 368, pillager outpost at −448, 352
A safer take on the pale garden start: you spawn just outside the gray treeline, with trial chambers 140 blocks east for early loot. The village to the south is your supply base; the outpost beyond it means easy raid farming once you're established. The pale garden, ancient city and frozen peaks stack in the same direction — one westward tunnel network can service all three.
🏜️ Badlands & Desert Seeds
Badlands spawns mean terracotta, gold, and some of the best-looking builds in the game. All three seeds were verified with their surrounding structures on the official server.
7. Badlands Frontier Town Structures
🏘️ Villages at 160, 128 (edge of the badlands) and 0, −288
⚔️ Trial chambers at 192, 80, pillager outpost at 96, 304
🌑 Ancient city at −320, 128
A village sits right on the badlands border — instant western-frontier-town energy. The outpost 200 blocks south keeps raids on tap, and the trial chambers are close enough to hit before your first iron armor. Terracotta cliffs plus villager trading plus an ancient city west of spawn: this is the builder's pick of the list.
8. Spawn on the Terracotta, Temple Around the Corner Structures
🏛️ Desert temple at 160, 96 — verified intact
🏘️ Village at 48, 128 with a ruined portal at 112, 128
⚔️ Trial chambers at 48, 336, ancient city at −160, −352
Everything here happens within 400 blocks: you wake up on terracotta, walk five minutes to a village that has its own ruined portal, and loot a desert temple before sunset. Gold farming in the badlands plus early temple loot makes this the fastest "rich start" on this list.
9. Trial Chambers Under Spawn, Badlands Horizon Survival
🏜️ Badlands at 136, −24
🏘️ Villages at 288, 240 and −304, 304
🟣 Ruined portal at 64, 288
Another spawn-chunk trial chambers seed, this time with a badlands backdrop. Speedrun-style players can breach the chambers immediately; everyone else gets two villages within 450 blocks and a ruined portal for an early nether rush.
🌿 Mangrove Seed
10. Mangrove Swamp Homestead Survival
🏘️ Villages at 112, 112 and −288, 240
🏛️ Desert temple at 368, −144
⚔️ Trial chambers at 192, 208
Mud, mangrove roots and frogs at spawn, with a village 150 blocks away so you don't have to sleep in the swamp. The desert temple to the northeast marks a dry biome for sand and cactus. Mangrove wood remains one of the best-looking build palettes in the game — this seed hands it to you without the usual thousand-block boat trip.
🏰 Woodland Mansion Seeds
Woodland mansions usually generate thousands of blocks out. Both of these were server-verified at under 600 blocks from spawn.
11. Mansion and Twin Villages Structures
🏘️ Villages at −176, −240 and 96, −416
⚔️ Trial chambers at 32, 288, ruined portal at 256, 160
Totems of Undying before your first diamond pickaxe: the mansion is close enough to raid with village-blacksmith gear. Two villages north of spawn cover food and beds, and the ruined portal sits conveniently on the mansion route. Clear the mansion, claim it, and you have the biggest free base in the game 400 blocks from spawn.
12. Mansion Behind the Portal Structures
🟣 Ruined portal at 0, 128 — 130 blocks from spawn
⚔️ Trial chambers at 256, 272 on the mansion route
🏘️ Village at −352, −224
The progression path writes itself: loot the ruined portal at 130 blocks, hit the trial chambers on the way south, then storm the mansion — all in one straight line from spawn. The village to the northwest is your fallback for repairs between raids.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Minecraft 26.2 ("Chaos Cubed")?
Minecraft Java Edition 26.2, nicknamed Chaos Cubed, was released on June 16, 2026. It adds sulfur cube mobs, the underground Sulfur Caves biome, sulfur geysers, cinnabar/sulfur building blocks, a friends list, and an experimental Vulkan renderer. Under Mojang's year-based version numbering, "26" is the year and ".2" is the second drop of 2026.
Do Minecraft 26.1 seeds still work in 26.2?
Mostly yes. Overworld surface biome layout and structure placement did not change between 26.1 and 26.2 — the new Sulfur Caves generate underground without moving villages or temples. Our 26.1 seed list remains valid, and the seeds on this page were verified directly on 26.2.
How were these seeds verified?
We scanned thousands of candidate seeds with cubiomes (the open-source world-gen library), picked the best twelve, then generated each one on Mojang's official Java 26.2 dedicated server and confirmed every listed structure with the in-game /locate command. 64 structures passed; two claims failed verification and were removed from this page.
Do these seeds work on Bedrock Edition?
No. Java and Bedrock use completely different world generation algorithms, so the same seed produces entirely different worlds. Everything here is verified for Java 26.2.
Where are the Sulfur Caves in these seeds?
Sulfur Caves generate deep underground in and around dripstone and lush cave regions, and current third-party tools (including ours) cannot yet map them — cubiomes does not support 26.2's underground changes. Look for surface sulfur springs as a natural indicator while exploring; we'll update our map tool as soon as the community libraries add support.
